As another example of finger-woven jewelry, the June 2008 issue of Simply Beads has my bracelet design in it. I mixed weaving, macrame knotting, and tied ribbons to make this piece:

    Cyndi,

That is a beautiful piece! I do a lot of weaving, but haven’t tried macrame knotting or adding ribbons. You’ve given me some new ideas. Thanks!

pls dont be offended, as this is just my opinion… but the first thing i thought when i saw this bracelet was ‘it looks like a centipede!’. i cant picture it laying nicely on someone’s wrist. im sure u have many other lovely pieces, and i’ll be sure to check them out.

I’m not offended at all! It doesn’t look like a centipede in the slightest when it’s on…the organza ribbons move softly and it’s very pretty (although not to everyone’s taste, I’m sure!). I’ve had lots of compliments on another one that I wear in brighter colors :-)

Diane, back in January I posted a list of all the online submission info pages for the different beading and jewelry mags. GO FOR IT!!! :-)
