The versatile spiral stitch

There are so many wonderful things that you can do with a basic spiral stitch. If you’ve never tried it before, start with the basic steps that I’ve illustrated below. After you have gotten the rhythm, let your imagination go wild!

    The spiral stitch looks really cool! I think I understand some of it, but since I’m legally blind, black and white drawings get difficult for me to understand. Could you possibly give me written instructions or tell me where I could find them? I really want to try this. Thank you!

    A few words are all it’ll take, Catherine! String on 4 beads in your “core” color. Add 3 beads in a “spiral” color. Take the needle back up through only the 4 core beads and pull snug. Add 1 core bead and 3 spiral beads. Take the needle up through the last 3 core beads and through the 1 that you just added. Pull snug. Repeat, always letting the beads that you add fall to the same side of the core.
