Funny and functional wearables from Hilary Pfeifer!
Art Attack Thursday!
Hilary Pfeifer calls herself Bunny with an ArtBlog and I find her quirky sense of humor just delightful. She tells us that she likes to write about the art that she’s making, but sometimes just about the food that she’s making (and consuming) instead!
Although wearables are not her specialty, Hilary came up with a unique a adorable design which uses the sculptural elements she makes. She uses a magnetic clasp in the front for a truly easy on-and-off design. Isn’t it cute? You can see more of Hilary’s designs on her blog.

Hilary writes:
Tags: handmade-jewelry, Mixed Media, Wearable ArtI made a dozen neckpieces with small pairings of my sculptural forms which usually adorn the walls, not the body. They clasp in the front, with magnets embedded into the pieces. I’m really excited about them and hope to make the time to continue exploring this new format. I feel like I have so many creative irons in the fire this year, but I suppose I’d rather be over-stimulated than bored to tears!

Thanks for the write-up! I just wanted to mention that this work is available for purchase through Velvet da Vinci Gallery in San Francisco, the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland, OR, and I will have an online sale through my http://www.bunnywithatoolbelt website on April 5 of this year. Thanks!
