I live in the metro Detroit area. The two bead stores that I especially like are Beada Beada in Royal Oak, MI and Munro Crafts in Berkley, MI.
Beada Beada is well organized and at times has rare semi-precious beads. They also have a sale wall where I have found great bargains. And best of all the staff is very pernalable and helpful.
Munro Crafts has a monthly sell on select items. I generally wait on the sale month (usually every 2-3 months) to stock up on semi-precious beads so that I can get a better deal. They have a huge inventory of beads. At first it was a little overwhelming. But now, I have a good time.
If anyone knows of any other stores in the metro Detroit area where I can find deals please let me know.
Thanks, Renee

I’m in the metro Detroit area also. I like to shop at Munro Crafts in Berkley, MI and Alada Beads in Sterling Heights, MI. I like the classes offered at Alada Beads.

To Stacy Thomas:
Michaels offers many classes including jewelry making. There is one on John R between 13 and 14 mile. Also, JoAnn Fabrics offers classes and is located in the same shopping center as Michaels.
