Women’s Caucus for Art show
Make Art Monday
My local chapter of the WCA is sponsoring an art show themed Faces. My piece called Chardonnay was juried in and is now on display until the beginning of January. The central cabochon was created by making a mold of a vintage piece that I have. I’m pretty satisfied with the way she turned out, and more than happy with how well the mold worked.

The piece is not quite as light and bright as this photo suggests. The colors are a bit more subdued and purple…the beads in the strap are not pink like they appear. I’ve got to figure out this lighting stuff when photographing gently-tinted pieces!

Wow, that’s grand! I’ve just started playing in earnest with the polyclay. Made a few beads but just for hairwrapping ends. I have seen some pretty cool stuff though… So, since WI is cold, snowy and ugly in the Winter, Polyclay will, hopefully, brighten my days!
