Library Jewelry Savvy
Since I’ve been talking about business books for the crafter, I thought I’d also remind everyone that your local public library is a great resources full of free information, meaning, books, books, books!
Even if they don’t have a specific book you are looking for, don’t forget that they can borrow from other libraries. It’s called Inter-Library Loan (ILL) and most libraries has set up relationships with other libraries in the same state that allows them to borrow books.
So, if you see something on Amazon.com and would like to read it but not necessarily buy it (at least not right away), ILL is a good alternative if your library doesn’t carry the title.

I agree. I used to work in a library and I learned a bit of what I know from the books on jewelry making. Keep in mind that some libraries charge a small fee for getting something as an ILL, but it will always be a lot less money than buying the book!
I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for all of the books I browsed through to come up with some of my ideas!

This is a great tip that I often tell the beginner beaders I teach. Different project or reference books appeal to different people so checking books out first is a good idea before buying. Libraries do take suggestions so if they don’t carry the title you want, request it.
