Years ago when I was more actively selling my jewelry, I also used to sell finished silver jewelry to help subsidize my inventory. I lived in Orlando at the time, and the Blake Brother’s warehouse was just a short drive from where I worked. (I had discovered them at a wholesale jewelry show).

The Land of Odds has announced that it’s narrowed down the competition now to ten semi-finalists for its Ugly Necklace Contest:
Who will win? We need the public’s help to influence our panel of judges. Should the student’s to do list set an uglier standard than the art student’s supply list? Whose romantic break-up resulted in […]

Since I am semi-self-employeed, that means I rarely have a day off. This also means I often find myself glued to the keyboard and don’t get much time to actually make jewelry, which is sort of ironic I guess.

The African Trade Beads web site offers a peek into how Kiffa beads are made. They includes some great pictures and a nice story about the family who has made these beads for many generations. Kiffa beads are colorful and the work that goes into each one is amazing.

I thought this Bling Bling Heart Box posted at CraftBits was a clever idea. It would make a great kid’s project and be perfect to hold some jewelry you’ve made as gifts, giving your hand-crafted gift-giving that extra zing and bling.
