I’ll take the “pro” position!! I have done the consignment thing and it was a good expeience. I left three sets with a man at a flea market type venue last
winter and he sold all three pieces. It was great because I didn’t have to sit there all day, my pieces were out working for me while I was home doing other things.
The set up was not as formal as you had stated or warned about but I got my money and he got his and the customer got a nice piece of jewelry and I believe everyone was happy. I did not return with more items because he did not do everything as we had agreed upon but I stroked that up to him being a man!!! I say “go for it” and especially if you get everything in writing!!!
