Chain Bling in Blueprint Magazine
If you haven’t noticed yet, I love working with chain as a component for making jewelry. While I have made a few chains on my own, I very often use prefabricated chain, which I buy by the roll and then snip off on an as-need basis. Recently, I heard about an article in Blueprint magazine touting the trend in chain jewelry making, so I got myself a copy to check it out.
You can see a little of this same article (which is only 3 pages long in the actual issue) on the Blueprint web site. According to the article there is also a video on the site, but so far, I haven’t found it. I did see, though, that Martha S. has her gang at Blueprint blogging (you go, girl!) and there’s an extra on the use of chain that didn’t make it into the issue: A Chain for the Better.
Now, if Ms. Stewart would would just hire me as her Craft Consultant…aaahhh…

2 opinions for Chain Bling in Blueprint Magazine

It’s about time that any of Martha’s magazines have jewelry making articles. The other rehashed projects were so stagnant. It’s too bad that they don’t really show step-by-step pictures, though. I imagine it would be hard for someone just starting out, to make jewelry with directions and 1 or 2 photos.

I know. I think it must just be designed as general information. But considering it was a 3 page layout, you’d think they could have a more complete project offered.
