Your Brain on Crafts
A professor friend of mine discoverd this site which has a link to a thesis on knitting written by graduate student Betsy Greer. My own dissertation which I recently finished (whoo-hoo!) deals with scrapbooking, altered books, and journals, so I have long had an interest in connecting academics to crafts.
It’s good to see I’m not alone in the crafty egg-head society, and actually, there is a growing group of bookworms who consider crafts as much more than a DIY home-body activity. We are crafting much more than a string of beads or a scrapbook. We are crafting and documenting memories.
