Tarnish Free Wire?

by Tammy Powley on January 12th, 2007

Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as sterling silver wire that does not turn dark five minutes after you make your jewelry wire design. It’s called ARGENTIUM, and here’s what the latest wire-sculpture newsletter had to say about it:

The element that keeps argentium from tarnishing is called germanium. Now this may be a new discovery or one that has been re discovered, but who cares, its here and everyone loves it! More and more wire sculptors are using it with good results and there sales seem to be increasing.Argentium has 92.5% fine silver and requires no maintenance at all. That means you never ever have to polish it at all and it will stay fresh and bright!I have also written about it her: Silver Lovers Rejoice!
