What Jewelry Goodies from Santa?
Okay, so what did Santa bring you? I’ll go first….
I got a simulated diamond and 14kt gold pendant (pictured) and matching ear studs from my husband, who also happened to set the stones himself. He got the stones from Diamond Nexius Labs and the settings from Tripps. He uses the easy mount system to set stones and has actually given me some wonderful pieces over the years using this method of stone setting.
On a sort of jewelry related theme, he also got me a Verizon card for my laptop so that means I can get on line any where…any time! I actually used it the other day while we were driving to a Christmas party. I was not driving, of course, just sitting in the passenger’s seat cruising the net. He got it for me mainly because I’m going to start teaching again next semester, and this way I can bring my laptop to class and get on the net if I need too. But, of course, it also means blogging any time and any where.

Love your hubby’s gift. I am giving myself my own gifts by doing a bit of after Christmas shopping. It’s hard for me to get out but I do just fine from my trusty laptop and the couch. I have discovered a lot of good deals on the web for some beautiful goodies for beaders and wire workers and I’m doing my share to support the sport!!!
I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays!!!

Love your hubby’s present. He’s a keeper! :) Alas, no baubles for me this year but I already have my fair share. In fact, I started giving pieces away this year for Christmas to a neice who will one day get it all anyway. I gave her an opal and watermelon tourmaline ring that has always been a favorite of both of ours for many years. It made both of us happy!

Sparkly things and tech things!!! Lucky you!!!! My folks gave me the Swarovski Marakkesh watch for my birthday (9 days before Xmas), and I got two brooches for Christmas — the Tiffany Magnolia Pin from the Met Store, and a leather worked poppy pin for me to wear each October.

I have three daughters and they all gave me gift bags of Swarovski crystals and gemstones. I am spoiled rotten and I love it.
I also got three gorgeous gemstone necklaces made by my oldest daughter. She sits in our bead room and designs four or five necklaces while I am working on one piece. If I get really excited about a particular one - it may end up on my neck!
My youngest daughter also gave me the 2004 Swarovski Christmas ornament. I now have five on my tree.
My New Year’s resolution this coming year is to get over my fear of crimping and finishing a necklace. My daughter has always finished them for me.
I also create jeweled angels for my Christmas tree. My daughter also sells them for me at shows when she sells her gemstone jewelry. I use Swarovski crystals to make them very special.
Unfortunately, Debbie, won’t be in the bead room much this next year. She is going to make silver pieces and most of that work will be done in the workshop in the basement. Her husband gave her every tool she needs for Christmas and paid for all her lessons.
Hope everyone who follows this blog had a very Merry Christmas. Happy New Year to each of you.
I am probably the senior blogger as I am 75 years young!!!!

Sounds like lots of crystals were popular this season!
