I’m a Jewelry Cover Girl!

After writing for Jewelry Crafts magazine for I don’t know how many years, I think this is the first time one of my jewelry pieces made the cover!

Along with the project for the necklace pictured, I also have two other articles in the October 2006 (dang, Oct. already?). One article is about jewelry and beading weblogs: “Blogosphere: Jewelry Makers in Cyberspace” and not only do I mention this blog, of course, but I’ve got a number of other bloggers mentioned in there as well. If you are just now starting to figure out this whole blog thing and wonder how you can use it for your jewelry making or beading needs, then this article is for you.

My other article is more about selling jewelry: “Guerrilla Marketing Jewelry Business 101.” I talk inexpensive and easy ways to promote yourself and your jewelry business.

Also in this issue are also some very cool projects by Cyndi Lavin: “Les Chats” and “Button Collage.” Both have her mixed media edge to them.

Now I’ve got a bug in my ear to write some more articles for Jewelry Crafts. My New Year’s resolution (one of them any way) was to write a total of 18 articles just for this magazine. I think I’m close, but I need to check. Today is the first day of August, so that means 5 more months before the year is up. Time flies when you are a busy beader!
