Wire Loops and Bead Chain

I work a lot with bead and wire and I’ve been asked a few times why one would choose not to wrap the loops on wire when connecting beads or anything else for that matter. Wouldn’t it come apart?

Yes, this can happen if you aren’t closing the loops carefully or if the wire is not cut precisely, which is why it’s important to have a good pair of flush-cut wire cutters. However, one of the advantages of what I call using a “simple loop” versus a “wrapped loop” is that the simple loop takes up less room on the bead and wire chain you are making and it drapes better.

So, it really depends on your design.
