Bead and Non-Bead Things to Do
by Tammy Powley on December 31st, 2005
On this weekend’s “things-to-do” list:
Clean the cover on the couch, which is covered in cat hair, so I can read tomorrow. (One of my New Year’s Day traditions is to lounge around reading a novel - preferably one I haven’t read before - all day). I think I’ll read Thomas Hardy’s A Pair of Blue Eyes. I’m a major Hardy fan.
Work on a new bead kit I just got for review from Ready to Bead. (It’s a really pretty woven bead bracelet in shades of blue).
Drink a lot of champagne. (I adore it, though I plan to have a major hang over tomorrow - thus why I read all day).
Go for a nice long walk. (I did this already and it felt great. Hopefully, my little 1 mile walks 4 times a week will increase to at least 2 miles 4 times a week in 2006.)
Blog, blog, blog – Yup, I still have to work this weekend, but that’s okay. (I love my work.)
Watch the movie When Harry Met Sally. (Again, this is another tradition for me along with the book and champagne. My husband is a 6 ft. 2 in. version of Billy Crystal: “Women and men can’t be just friends.”)
Eat black eye peas. You have to for good luck! (See a recipe for these on my baby sister’s new blog.)
Take a nap, so I can make it until midnight. (It sucks getting old!)
Here’s to a great 2006! I have lots of jewelry making plans, which include continuing to blog here at the b5 Jewelry and Beading blog.
