Seed Bead Book Peek

Fabulous Mr. Fedex stopped by today to drop off the dummy for my new seed bead book, due out in May 2006. The dummy is sort of a mini-example of what the finished book will look like. The publisher sends it out to book dealers and other possible buyers to help give the book some early promotion. So, this is the first peek of what the book will some day look like. The Rockport photographers and layout people are so talented there. When I see their photos, I have to ask myself, “Hey, did I make that? It looks so good!”
Learning to weave with seed beads was a challenge I decided to take on a few years ago, and though I at first found those tiny beads a little scary, I have to admit that after I got some of the basics down, it’s been one of the most enjoyable jewelry making techniques I’ve ever learned. If you want a little peek into what it takes to make seed bead jewelry, I’ve got an article for you: Getting Started: Seed Beads. And, of course, I’ll keep you posted on the latest concerning the book.
